Eyebrow shaping is an art that can significantly alter the appearance of
your face. Perfectly shaped eyebrows can frame your eyes beautifully
and can even take years off your appearance. Shaping can be done
through various methods, such as tweezing, threading, waxing or using
an eyebrow pencil or powder. Eyebrow reshaping should follow your
natural brow line.
Botox (botulinum toxin) is a commonly used nonsurgical treatment to
reshape eyebrows. When used for eyebrow reshaping, small amounts of
Botox are injected into specific muscles to either relax or pull the
eyebrows into a desired position. The results are temporary and
generally last for about three to four months and It is a relatively safe
procedure with minimal side effects.
Thread lifting, also known as a "thread lift" is a minimally invasive procedure that uses dissolvable threads to lift and reshape the
eyebrows. The threads, made from a biodegradable material, are
inserted beneath the skin with a fine needle. The procedure usually
takes less than an hour and the results of a thread lift are immediate
and can last for one to three years.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) can be used for an eyebrow
lift, among other cosmetic applications. The HIFU device delivers
concentrated ultrasound energy to the deep layers of the skin,
stimulating the production of new collagen and promoting skin
tightening. The procedure is relatively quick (usually under an hour), and
there's no downtime—meaning you can return to your usual activities
right away. The results of a HIFU eyebrow lift are usually visible within
two to three months as new collagen is produced. The effects can last
for one to two years, depending on individual skin characteristics and
lifestyle factors.
